Welcome to our wide range of building services, with a focus on new home builds. R J Murray is fronted by licensed building practitioner Richard Murray, and his longstanding building team.
We build with pride to healthy home standards which include ensuring excellence in insulation, heating, ventilation, draught stopping and moisture drainage.
We can also build for Lifemark® standards at a client's request; which are designed to be safe and functional for people of all ages and abilities.
New Homes
New homes are our specialty and we can undertake a huge range of homes including standard flat section homes to architectural and hill homes.
As we project manage every detail of the build, from advice on choosing your section, to the ideal direction for your home to be facing, and so much more. We have the reliable team and excellent R J Murray Building program that ensures a seamless flow of construction that can be assessed at any level and stage.
Project Management
Richard Murray personally project manages every new build we undertake. In fact it is one of the strongest points of R J Murray Builders that your point of contact is the very man who owns the business and is a licenced building practitioner. As Richard likes to say "Our point of difference is that your project contact is the guy who will actually be banging in the nails".
We often have multiple building, repair, and renovation projects on the go and Richard oversees them all.
Repairs & Renovations
At R J Murray Builders our focus is on new home builds, however we often get asked by previous build clients to come back and undertake renovations to suit changing lifestyle, growing families or just to invest in home expansions or upgrades.
Contact us to discuss your renovation plans and ideas, whether you're an existing customer or have simply found us by reputation. We are happy to give practical, experience advice and arrange an engineering report.
Timber Decks
At R J Murray Builders we specialise in Timber Decks and have completed independent deck builds and decks built a part of a new home build. We thrive on designing and building decks as they add some much more quality living space to a home. We would love the opportunity to consult with you on the deck you envision for your home or light commercial building, and offer our own advice on design, layout and materials based on our 40 years experience.

The Right Advice
Richard, builder, project manager and owner of R J Murray Builders, offers his 40 years experience in the building industry to work with you in building your new home. Richard is always happy to share his knowledge and where possible, right from the outset. Among other considerations of building a home he can advise on choosing a section and the ideal positioning of your home within that section; for factors that include ideal facing for sunrise and sunset, feng shui, and factors that can effect resale such as the property number, foot traffic and more.

If you require an architect Richard has many professionals whom he has worked with over the years, and he can match you with an architect that will best suit your lifestyle and your own design ideas, alongside your budget.
